Research Study: Outcomes for Students in a Montessori Program

This is a longitudinal study (conducted by the American Montessori Internationale) of Milwaukee high school graduates that had attended Montessori preschool and elementary programs and then transitioned to more conventional academic environments. The most significant finding is that students who had attended Montessori programs from the approximate ages of three to eleven significantly outperformed a peer control group in both math and science tests.
